I chuckled at your “life’s necessities” with the pending storm in your area. I just had to write that we are having balmy weather in Southern California.. The sun is brilliantly shining with a high of 72 degrees predicted in Palm Desert.
We are snowbirds from Washington State so have prepared in year gone by for Northeaster storms that came in from the Fraser Canyon. Milk, bread, and gasoline for our generator were among our necessities.
Thank you for adding levity to my day and memories of days gone by.
Did you know oak trees walk? E were told at a visit to Charlecote house near Coventry that the branches that hang down on the ground ‘walk’ and start new oaks nearby. Make if that what you will. My immediate thought was ‘Ents’ but coupled with trees of righteousness.
Did you know that the snow reached the fourth floor of apartment buildings in Kamchatka in Russia. Characteristically the Russians laughed.
I am asking for much needed prayers but before I get to that…
We are experiencing brutal cold weather in Minnesota with windy conditions as well so where you live is not acclimated to the cold weather that is happening right now. Stay warm and safe.
Prayers: Could you please pray for our state of Minnesota of what we are experiencing here and for the leaders to have a change of heart to do the RIGHT thing? It’s very concerning because my husband and I have to weigh some options/decisions once we find out what happens during Midterm. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
A quote from a pastor:
A society that dismisses or rejects God suffers the consequences of lawlessness, chaos and anarchy. This quote is what we are experiencing in MN.
Loved the post, Denise. I am in Florida, so if you do the snowbird thing, come visit. 😉 I just gifted your new book to a friend yesterday. I imagine she is turning the pages now during her morning devotionals. My prayers for your family and others for safety during the storm.
Oh, Sunny, that is so kind of you to give a copy to a friend. Thank you! And, thank you, too, for the invite. I would love to visit in person over a cup of tea sometime. :-)
A very good word for me at the moment. Been struggling with being in my church and asking the Lord how I continue. Sticking together with my church family is the answer work through the problems and dont be food for the enemy!

I did not know that oak trees "walk." That is very interesting! :-)

Thanks for the confirmation xxx

Thank you, Denise, and really appreciate it.
Have a blessed day.
