One thing you may not know about me is that I have a habit of picking up stray cats and dogs and returning them to their people.
This is Charlie.
I found him — or maybe he found me — as he sauntered along the sidewalk in front of my house.
I looked up and down the street, but another soul couldn’t be found anywhere on our cul-de-sac. So, I scooped him up and called the number on his collar.
Then I put Charlie in my car and took him home. A young teenage girl ran out of the house to cuddle him as soon as she saw him, and it made me happy that she was so excited to see him.
At first I thought about how much I would want someone to do this for me if one of my little dogs somehow wandered off. But then I remembered, heck, I’ve been the one to wander off and get lost, and I’m so thankful someone showed me the way Home.
Perhaps, in a very real sense, this is why we’re all here . . . to help each other find our way Home.
Shalom.
Loved this and how you so often manage to reflect our creators intent for us. ❤️🙏
Beautiful. I think it was Ram Dass who said “we’re all just walking each other home.”
