Our pastor reminded us yesterday - the words of God are true. Yes, the Word of God is true. Absolutely! But so are His words. Everything He says is true. Something to remember for the new year.
Thank you for this today Denise. Very precious and love the honesty as you started the journey of where to read the Bible.
I fell in love with the Psalms of David. I had a sordid past (thank you Yahweh for the regeneration through His son's blood) and immediately I wanted to know how He was able to still call David a man after His own heart, being a king who committed such awful sins! The Psalms revealed to me the tenderness of Davids heart and Love of his Lord! (And I'm loving the series, the House of David! Still on season 1)
Like you, Kimberly, I can remember wanting to understand why David was called "a man after God's own heart," especially given his grievous failures as a husband and father and friend. At this end of his life, though, two things remained true: 1) He never bowed down and worshipped the false gods of the surrounding nations, and 2) When he did fail, he was a man of repentance; he took his failures to God and owned them. And I want to do the same when I fail too.

I love that!
Thank you Denise. I needed to hear this.
In His grace, Kay
I'm so glad, Kay!
I cannot wait to open this new book and hear you speak to my heart.
Thanks, friend. I miss seeing you!
Thank you Denise for such an honest, practical lesson. I am sharing.
Thank you, Sunny, for sharing!

Yes, yes! He knew we're his sustenance came from and I always admired him for that. Psalm 51!
Loved your new book. A book to dip into again and again.
Being a Christian required perseverance but is always worth it. I think God is reaching out to many people today. It seems as there is a hunger.
Thanks so much, Jillian!
Amen! As a Mum of two boys who have walked away from the professions of faith they made as small boys, this resonates with my heart.
