Your story made me think back...I lived in Columbus, Ohio at that age and would long for snow. I really only remember one 'big' snowstorm. And pretty sure that there were very occasional light ones. I say that because I had a snow suit! It was a big thing for sure!
Today, it is typically at least five months of snow. Often late into the spring here in the "IceBox - of the Nation"! While you all have gotten some big dumps, we are so under our usual snows that we may remain in drought watch come summer. But there's plenty of months left until then.

Kimberly, that is so interesting! I've only been to Ohio once, and it was in the winter. It wasn't snowing at the time, but I remember it well. It was definitely more wintry than I was used to! Personally, winter is my favorite season, but admittedly, I've never lived very far north where folks experience some pretty intense winters! :-)
We have had plenty of cold but interspersed with a few above freezing temps. But oh my, can't believe the weather you all have had. A bit of an odd year!
